20010331 wikipedia
I remember the days when you could post on wikipedia and it would go untouched for days, weeks, etc without anyone or any”bot” filtering it. That’s when a lot of people started to criticize wikipedia’s credibility. If anyone can write/post on wikipedia without any checks and/or balances, then why would someone trust wikipedia? The Wikipedia of today is not what it was back in the early 2000s. The amount of information on wikipedia is more than just amazing! Over a decade of refinement, wikipedia has given us (humanity) an extensive volume of references that you couldn’t even dream of having prior to 2000. If you were to look at the average home reference library prior to 1990, you might see a dictionary and a thesaurus and if you were lucky and could afford it, might have a world book encyclopedia collection.
